Tim took no encouragement to get his race truck out …. “Hop in”, he says… I look in and there is no passenger seat, so I kneel down and hang onto the roll bar. Tim sits down and then puts the steering wheel on, that’s how tight things are in there. I think my white knuckles hanging on was enough for Tim to drive very carefully out of the shed.

Tim loves trucks. He has driven them for years, and even after a bit of a rough start, loves racing them. Tim is the newest competitor to the field. His first race he didn’t finish, second race he came third and was winning the final race at the last meeting, before a fuel problem brought HO11 to a stand still in the middle of the track.

It took about 10 years of Wes Bell asking Tim to come give it a go before he finally caved and jumped behind the wheel of Wes’ original Truck, Dodgy II. Tim likes bling on his trucks, so a few bits of chrome appeared on HO11. And as a fellow competitor commented on the grid… “Do you think the chrome it will make it go faster?” The answer is, “Yep….. I hope so”.
Either way Tim says it looks tougher!

Tim has the racing bug and has since bought his own Racing Lorry, (Shrek – for those of you that can remember). Tim has some grand plans for Shrek, which will include lots of stand out bling and hopes to have it on the track next race season!
